Scotch College '06 The Beginning

This year has to be the biggest year of my life so far. Its the year I've been looking forward to ever since standard 1 (I guess?). Back then, you always wished to be free, to be able to roam around anytime, anywhere you want without asking permission from parents. A time where you're on your own, able to drive, do your own things for entertainment, buying your clothing without depending on your parents and probably I've realize this is the time of my life. A pivotal moment where you are on your own. Funny.

Well back to the topic,my parents decided to enroll me in Scotch College since Year 10 (2004) and I did look back a couple of times but I've never regretted being here. Its a whole different society, culture and experience and I've learnt a lot from it. From the friends I've made, the knowledge I've gained, the experiences I've experienced its something that I will treasure for the rest of my life. Thanks Mum & Dad.

Scotch College 2006 was something out of this world. A time where you are given a taste of adulthood and independence. We were seniors of the school and it felt so different from Year 10&11. There were so many events that happened through out the year and of course the Wedderburn Cup was the major event of term 1 in Scotch College (Boarding). It was our quest to retain the Cup for the 9th Year in a row and it begins by...............

McMeckan's Pump-Up Session before the competition

Dominance in the Cricket

McMeckan's rally down the Chapel steps

Our scorn enemies, School House (Red) and Arthur Robinson (Black)

The swimming competition

The diving competition

McMeckan did not start on a high for the Wedderburn Cup. After failing to achieve success in the swimming and diving competition which is traditional for the house to come 2nd and last. Term 1 was a really difficult start for the Year 12s as there were TONS of SACS and the pressure just keeps building on. Other events such as House Summer Sports Day and House Swimming Sports Day kicked of Term 1 for the school. My house, Bond once again showed to be the dark horse of the Cockhouse Competition, obtaining 3rd for Summer Spoots Day which is very unusual and came 2nd last in the swimming competition. Well not to forget, Summer Sports was something I looked forward to every year. This year I was able to play Badminton for the 2nds Team and It was a pretty good season - only managing to lose once. After 38 days of school (I know the duration is short), home awaits me. You just gotta love the holiday breaks because a good rest is always needed after a whole term of work!work!work! and not only that, FOOD+SHOPPING in Australia is too expensive and thats why PLEASE treasure what you have in Malaysia! Mee Goreng, Char Kuey Teow.....ahh I'm hungry.
