Scotch College '06 Nearly There

Almost everything comes to an end in this term. No more sports, Thursday activities, Wedderburn Cup, athletic relays, house country and the last ever Foundation Day concert as a Scotchie. Day by day as it goes by, you ponder 'man, I've never got to do that again'. In a way its a depressed and a joyous feeling. Not to forget Term 3 also means that it is the last term of solid school work as Term 4 is a revision term. Now I will start off with the Wedderburn Cup.......

Well, lets just say 06 wasn't the year for McMeckan - we lost it. Yes, I know we broke the tradition but somehow or rather someone has to do it right? Lets just say we brought the pressure off the Year 12s for next year. It was a really tight competition this year, after trailing 1.5 points in the winter season, we had to come first for the senior/junior basketball and football to bring the cup home. After winning the football and senior basketball it all came down to the juniors, and if we had won that we would have taken the cup by 0.5 points but after a nail-bitting game against Arthur Robinson, McMeckan was able to cruise on and reach to a win or die situation against School House. The juniors was able to hold off the might of School House and took the lead but wasn't strong enough until School House trampled over us and that was over for McMeckan. Sad faces, broken hearts, anger was seen in all the Mormons and it wasn't a day for us.

Foundation Day, 1st September - A great day of musical, talent and skills from all the boys. This night however was different, for the first time we were able to sit at the balcony and the view from there was splendid. Musical play from our musicians were top notch and to sum it up it was a perfect night.

Jae Ho, Louis, Manton, Kirkwood and Me

Djidi and Jae Ho

Not to forget, 'Louis Bashing' continues this term but a little bit more crazier. Shaving cream, peanut butter, flying karate kicks and wet ties were all part of it. We even made a video out of the fight scenes with Louis. Lets just say it was plain stupidity.

As usual, Louis stands alone

Pressure Points

For those who are curious about what we actually do, download the video we've made - Bash brothers.

I guess that's most of the stuffs I could remember on Term 3 which was interesting to state and now to Term 4 - The term of terms.
